Star Wars VII : The Force Awakens was a smash hit in 2015 BUT failed as a story. As a ‘soft reboot’, the movie served to superficially give the fans what they wanted but essentially retold the original Star Wars (1977) plot in an inferior way – adding in new characters but changing nothing significant in the key story beats.

After the sensational first three Marvel-Netflix series viz. Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Daredevil 2, the franchise somewhat lost its way with the relatively disappointing Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders. Thus, there was definitely pressure on this adaptation of the fan-favourite character – The Punisher – to right the ship, so to speak.
Staying power is not usually associated with Singapore bands but to the credit of The Pinholes, the quartet have been soldering on for over a decade in the unforgiving local music scene. The band celebrate this longevity with an entertaining new album – D’Antara Kita!
