AGC Studios has unveiled a new division, AGC Digital, aimed at turning social-media creators into mainstream entertainment properties — a move intended to give online talent clearer routes into movies, television and unscripted formats. The launch arrives as streaming platforms and studios race to mine creator followings for fresh, bankable intellectual property.
AGC Digital will work directly with digital creators to develop, finance and distribute projects that grow beyond short-form platforms while preserving the creators’ voices and ownership.
Leadership and remit
Jared Jacobs has been named Senior Vice President to run the new unit and will report to Joel Zimmer, AGC’s president. Jacobs will oversee scouting, development and commercialization of IP that originates in the creator ecosystem, according to the studio.

AGC framed the division as an attempt to connect the audiences built on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram with the financing, production capacity and global channels needed for feature films and premium series.
Who Jared Jacobs has worked with
Jacobs arrives with experience building creator-driven projects at several entertainment companies. His background includes development and digital strategy roles across studios and agencies, where he helped translate creator content into larger-scale productions.
- Past employers: Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, Night Studios, Blumhouse Television, Unrealistic Ideas, Endeavor Content (now FIFTH SEASON), WME.
- Notable creator collaborations: projects developed with high-profile digital stars such as MrBeast, Kai Cenat, Ryan Trahan, Sam & Colby, Moriah Elizabeth and Zach King.
The studio says Jacobs’s role will include identifying commercial opportunities, arranging financing and shepherding projects through production and distribution.
Why this matters now
For many creators, converting large online followings into television or film careers remains difficult; traditional pathways often demand relinquishing creative control or intellectual property. AGC Digital aims to offer an alternative: a studio partner that promises both scale and preservation of a creator’s brand and IP.

That approach reflects a broader industry trend: studios are increasingly courting creators as sources of tested audiences and ready-made marketing reach. If AGC Digital succeeds, it could shorten the time it takes for online talent to break into premium scripted and unscripted projects — and change negotiation dynamics around rights and revenue.
What to watch next
AGC has not yet released a slate or named specific upcoming projects under the AGC Digital banner. Industry observers will be watching for announcements about first-look deals, financing partners, and which creators sign on — signals that will indicate whether the division will deliver both creative freedom and commercial heft.
In the near term, expect AGC Digital to prioritize collaborations that demonstrate cross-platform audience traction and formats that translate cleanly from short-form engagement to longer scripted or unscripted storytelling.
With studios and streamers competing for creator-driven IP, AGC’s move underscores how the creator economy is reshaping traditional talent pipelines and the business of turning internet fame into mainstream entertainment.
