Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days run Oct. 6–7, and From ‘Toy Story 5’ and ‘Paw Patrol’ Toys to Baby Gear is the kind of shopping shorthand parents and gift hunters should use to find early holiday bargains.
Amazon lists Prime Big Deal Days as a two-day, Prime-member-only event that starts at 12:01 a.m. Pacific time on Oct. 6 and runs through Oct. 7, with discounts across devices, household goods and toys.
Variety’s roundup of Big Deal Days coverage highlights curated picks across kids’ toys, games and baby gear, noting the event is a good moment to start holiday shopping for licensed toys tied to recent releases such as Toy Story 5 and franchise staples like Paw Patrol.
Shoppers should expect deals across multiple categories rather than one narrow department: Amazon’s own event page and coverage from national outlets describe discounts on Amazon devices, toys, and baby essentials during the 48-hour sale window.
If you plan to shop for kids, look for a mix of licensed movie- and TV-themed toys (the kind tied to Toy Story 5 and Paw Patrol) alongside staple baby items such as strollers, carriers and feeding gear that retailers often discount during Prime events.
As always with event sales, stock and price depth vary by product and seller. Reviews and buying guides published around Prime Big Deal Days recommend prioritizing high-ticket baby gear and popular licensed toys early in the sale, because those items can sell out quickly.
