Peter Bjorn and John will mark two decades of their breakthrough record Writer’s Block with a short North American tour this October, bringing the album back to the stage and offering fans a live retrospective of the Swedish trio’s catalog. The run begins in Querétaro, Mexico, and closes in Miami, with most U.S. dates supported by singer-songwriter Josh Rouse.
The announcement comes as a deliberate celebration of an album that helped define indie pop in the mid-2000s. Released in 2006, Writer’s Block delivered the band’s best-known single, Young Folks, and was the first of their records to reach the Billboard 200, marking a commercial high point that widened their international audience.
Alongside the hits fans still sing—Amsterdam and Let’s Call It Off among them—the group says the tour will also include selections from across their career, not just the anniversary set. That means attendees can expect the album performed in full as well as a handful of tracks drawn from later releases.
