Millian – a new club at St. James PowerStation – was the exciting venue that launched All That Matters 2016 with showcases from some of the foreign bands/artists to be seen at the Music Matters Festival from 13 – 15 September.
Without a doubt, the loudest noise was reserved for Aussie twin sister duo The Veronicas as they belted out a couple of hits which the audience eat up with vigour. The ladies put up an energetic performance full of vim and drive. They promised a 2-hour concert sometime in the near future. Good news for diehard fans!
Taiwanese indie popsters P!SCO also got the attention of the audience with their high-energy, cutesy delivery. Never keeping still, the three front-ladies left an indelible mark on the clear enraptured crowd with their on-stage antics. A name to watch over the next three days!
Thai pop-rockers Slot Machine had the audience eating out of their hands with an impressive performance that demonstrated keen technical ability and skilled songwriting chops. From the first chord, the quartet was in their element and play the consummate rock star band to a satisfied crowd. Again, their upcoming performances will be closely followed.
Overall, a dynamic start to All That Matters 2016, one that bodes well for the rest of the conference and the shows to come.
