Prime Video’s Life Is Strange adaptation has named its lead actors: Tatum Grace Hopkins as Max Caulfield and Maisy Stella as Chloe Price, the outlets Variety and Teen Vogue reported in March 2026.
Variety’s exclusive reported the two leads and said Charlie Covell is the show’s writer, executive producer and showrunner, with Amazon MGM Studios producing alongside Story Kitchen and LuckyChap.
Teen Vogue’s guide lists the fuller supporting cast additions — including Tom Cullen as Mark Jefferson, Leisha Hailey as Joyce Price, Raúl Castillo as David Madsen, Owen Teague as Frank Bowers and Billy Barratt as Nathan Prescott — and notes production was underway earlier in 2026.
Neither Variety nor Teen Vogue provided a firm premiere date or an official trailer in their coverage: Variety reports the casting and creative team without a release date, and Teen Vogue’s overview gathers what is known so far while pointing readers to the show’s sections for “First look and trailer” and “Release date,” indicating those elements are not yet confirmed in public materials.
Background: the series adapts the 2015 narrative-adventure game and follows Max, a photography student who discovers she can rewind time and, with Chloe, investigates a student’s disappearance — a synopsis published by Variety and republished in Teen Vogue follows the game’s central plotline.
Precedent: video-game-to-TV adaptations have varied launch timelines; when other high-profile game adaptations announced casts months before release, trailers and premiere dates sometimes followed on a different schedule, but this article confines itself to what sources have reported so far.
