LaughingPlace reports that Marvel will launch a new Hulk comic to be distributed free on Comics Giveaway Day; the story appears under the headline Marvel Will Launch New “Hulk” Comic for Free on Comics Giveaway Day and previews the giveaway lineup.
The ORIGINAL_KEYWORD appears in promotional copy from LaughingPlace announcing Marvel will offer a Hulk issue as part of Comics Giveaway Day, giving readers a free entry point to the character’s current storyline.
Penguin Random House’s Comics Giveaway Day page confirms the event will be held on May 2, 2026 and lists participating publishers and sampler titles; its post opens by saying, “Updated covers have been revealed for Comics Giveaway Day™ on May 2nd.”
The PRH page lists Marvel among the publishers taking part in Comics Giveaway Day 2026 and shows Marvel entries in the day’s lineup, indicating shops and readers can expect Marvel-distributed free samplers and giveaway issues.
If you plan to visit your local comic shop, Comics Giveaway Day works like past Free Comic Book Day events: retailers hand out publisher-provided giveaway issues and samplers to visitors. Penguin Random House’s retailer-facing post instructs shops to order by FOC to ensure stock for May 2, 2026.
What to watch for: the LaughingPlace headline names a new Hulk comic specifically tied to Comics Giveaway Day, and PRH’s Comics Giveaway Day schedule confirms the date and Marvel’s presence on the card. Fans who want the free Hulk sampler should check with their local shop about quantities and any per-person limits on giveaway copies.
