The Lemon Twigs (aka Brian and Michael D’Addario) recently announced that their second album, Go to School, would be released by 4AD on August 24th.
“Small Victories” is the 2nd single ahead of this release and it once again re-affirms the brothers’ unbelievable penchant to re-create 70s pop-rock in terms of melodic and creative sophistication.
The chord progression itself would put most modern rock bands to shame, wringing out a catchy tune out through fairly complicated means.
This ambitious single follows up from the elegantly orchestral “If You Give Enough”, which contains a theremin, of all things – yet another example of the duo’s catholic musical agenda.
Both singles demonstrate the breadth of what can be expected from the new album. Can hardly wait!
