POWER OF POP MUSIC SINGLE REVIEW: LIBERTY SHIP – LEARNING TO FLY

SINGLE REVIEW: LIBERTY SHIP – LEARNING TO FLY

Liberty Ship

Yes, fucking having this! What a smashing debut single this is, from Sheffield quartet Liberty Ship.

Yes, the name’s taken from a La’s song but hey, this single demonstrates that Liberty Ship might have a decent go at emulating their heroes.

Consisting of Lewis Hancock (Lead Vocals & Acoustic Guitar), Jack Eddison (Lead Guitar & Backing Vocals), James Brown (Bass & Backing Vocals) & Kierran Bond (Drums & Backing Vocals), the band is a refreshing throwback to a special time in music history, that thankfully still inspires these young ‘uns to make righteous pop and roll.

As corny as this might sound, “Learning to Fly” is going to make you smile and hop around like a silly bunny cuz it’s the kind of hooky jangly pop-rock that the world needs at the moment!

Pre-order now from Bandcamp. Available from April 1st.
