Last year, Matthew Logan Vasquez (frontman of Delta Spirit) released his first solo album Solicitor Returns to critical acclaim for its earthy fuzzed-up pop-rock.
Instead of following up with a Delta Spirit album – whom Vasquez insists have not broken up – he wrote songs for a 2nd solo album – Does What He Wants – released today!
The new album has a more eclectic vibe which highlights a soulfulness that seems closer to what Vasquez was doing in Delta Spirit. Go figure. Check out the indie poppish “Old Ways (ft. Lilli Hayes)” and its trippy music video.
