Choeng Thale district police chief Sutthirak Chuthong told reporters that a search of the room “revealed no signs of forced entry or other irregularities,” and that Wright had registered at the hotel alone. He added that CCTV footage showed Wright behaving restlessly outside the hotel before leaving the area and later arriving at the location where his body was found.
The chief said investigators believe the death occurred less than two days before the body was recovered and that there were no visible signs of assault. Authorities are awaiting the official autopsy and toxicology reports to establish whether any substances were involved.
