THE GREENBERRY WOODS

POP UNDERGROUND PIONEERS RETURN WITH FIRST ALBUM IN OVER TWENTY YEARS!

Fans of the 90s pop underground will remember The Greenberry Woods’ brief spell as a major label band on Sire/Reprise, releasing two well-received albums viz Rapple Dapple and Big Money Item before breaking up in 1996.

On this reunion album – House – the band demonstrate that it has lost none of its melodic chops, dynamic energy and upbeat attitude. The arrangements might be straight-forward but that has allowed these elements to stand up on their own.

The album consists of 14 new originals (10 studio and 4 live recordings) and these songs melt the years away and it seems like it’s the mid-90s all over again! Full of Beatlesque melodism and punk drive, tracks like “Are You In Love Again”, “You’ve Been Good”, “Drop Away” and “I Win” are kick-ass tuneful rockers, power pop fans will want to listen to on repeat mode.

Essential!
