Nate Amos, who records as This Is Lorelei, will release a new album, The Singer In My Band, on September 11 through Matador. The lead single, “Billy Came Back”, previews a record Amos calls an “on-the-road beatnik” collection—songs drawn from chaotic travel moments and small fictionalized scenes rooted in experience.
The album marks Amos’s first full-length with Matador and continues a prolific streak following 2024’s Box For Buddy, Box For Star and 2025’s Holo Boy. According to a press statement, Amos handled engineering, production, and virtually all of the performances himself; the only guest contribution is his father, bluegrass musician Bob Amos, who plays banjo on the title track.

Touring and current plans
