The strength of Your Honor so far has been in its story writing. Strong flawed and conflicted characters have driven a multitude of plot points throughout the series thus far. In Your Honor Part 5, another spanner is thrown into the works as far as Judge Desiato is concerned as he receives the threat of blackmail. You see, this is what happens when you are trying desperately to keep dark secrets.
In addition, the fact that every character action has a reaction and consequence which leads to more logical and significant story events really keeps the viewer engaged and invested in the outcomes. Really loving how the bubble of character interactions is slowly but surely expanding and pushing the narrative.
Again, Judge Desiato is in the eye of the maelstrom and he is losing even more control in Your Honor Part 5, which will drive him to more desperate machinations in order to achieve his ends. Bryan Cranston of course is perfect for this role, not identical to the legendary Walter White (Breaking Bad) but there are parallels to be drawn from the opening idealism to a gradual corruption of values and honour in the face of fear and trepidation.
Certainly, there are enough plot strands running around that could lead the story virtually anywhere as it stands. Which is what makes Your Honor such an intriguing TV series. Essential viewing!
