Yellowjackets Season 2 Ep 7 is the 17th chapter of a survival horror drama television series created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson. The series cross-hatches several genres successfully by combining influences from popular TV series like Lost, True Detective and every teenage coming-of-age drama out there.
The premise of Yellowjackets is as follows – 25 years ago, a high school girls soccer team were stranded for 18 months in the Canadian wilderness after a plane crash. The trauma of that experience lives on with them to the present day as the darkness becomes part of their everyday lives. Thus, the narrative of the series is divided between these two eras.

Entitled “Burial”, Yellowjackets Season 2 Ep 7 picks up the narrative both in the present and the flashbacks as the dark presence slowly but surely rears its evil influence on the Yellowjackets. As far as the present is concerned, not much of note really happens as the ladies avail themselves of the programmes of Charlotte’s cult premises, though not really. The reunion seems to be amicable overall though Charlotte is fully aware that the dark presence is slowly growing more powerful while her friends remain somewhat oblivious.
In contrast, the flashbacks in Yellowjackets Season 2 Ep 7 get increasingly darker as the starving survivors begin to confront their own desperation. Coach Ben Scott is certainly on the edge of insanity as it is revealed that what we had thought were his own little memories of the past turn out to contemporary hallucinations! Good twist. Only Misty’s heartfelt pleas pull him away from suicide, might he regret the decision later on?
With the next episode promising to finally depict the ghastly scenes that introduced the series to us, a dark disturbing ride can be expected in the remaining chapters. And what are the implications then for the present day? Still engaging. Recommended.
