The White Lotus Season 2 Ep 5 is the fifth instalment of the second season of an American comedy-drama anthology television series created by Mike White for HBO. It follows the guests and employees of the fictional White Lotus resort chain, whose stay becomes affected by their various dysfunctions. The first season is set in Hawaii and the second season is set in Sicily.

Entitled “That’s Amore”, The White Lotus Season 2 Ep 5 continues to pick apart the characters and relationships with plot developments that should set us on the path of disaster. Harper finally gets the truth out of Ethan – that Cameron screwed the Italian ‘escorts’ while she and Daphne had a night away. This brings Harper to the edge and a drunken manner that threatens to push everybody over.
The White Lotus Season 2 Ep 5 also builds a budding romance between Albie and Lucia as he discovers her occupation. However, this seems to make her even more appealing to him – being this social justice warrior wanting to do the right thing. Will any entanglement with Lucia’s pimp be troublesome? What will Dominic do in order to get Albie away from Lucia?

The tension and potential conflict is simmering nicely for both scenarios outlined but what about the misadventure of Tanya and Portia in Palermo with the gay gentlemen? Everything seems to be too good to be true. Is there any dark secret that might blacken Tanya’s idyllic fantasy? Or will Portia discover that her lover Jack is actually a rent boy for “uncle” Quentin? Though we are not sure why the latter would be a particular problem as it seems rather obvious.
