The Wheel of Time Season 2 Ep 6 is the sixth chapter of the second season of an American high fantasy television series developed by Rafe Judkins for Amazon Prime Video. The series is based on the novel series of the same name by Robert Jordan with Brandon Sanderson. Similar to Foundation over at AppleTV+, we were of the view that the adaptation of these genre fiction classics fell well short of the source material, but despite that like Foundation, this series had been renewed for a second and now, a third season!

Entitled “Eyes Without Pity”, The Wheel of Time Season 2 Ep 6 might very well be the best episode of this series thus far. This is mainly down to two factors – one, the relatability of Egwene’s dire situation as a Damane and two, the emergence of the Seanchan as genuine antagonists. Certainly, the characters of Egwene and Rand have grown in stature and consequence and it is now not difficult to identify with their plights and root for their successes.
In addition, The Wheel of Time Season 2 Ep 6 is beginning to weave together a glimmer of the defenders of the Light will come together to turn things around. Lan’s decision to be proactive in aiding Moiraine by alerting Siuan Sanche of the reality of the Aes Sidai’s vulnerability is welcomed. Now it remains to be seen how Nynaeve and Elayne will be instrumental in rescuing Egwene. Certainly, as far as the audience is concerned, we are all ready to see the evil Seanchan get their deserved comeuppance. The amount of torture experienced by Egwene in this chapter demands it to be so!
Like Foundation, The Wheel of Time is finding narrative strength in its second season. Long may it continue! Recommended!!
