Premise
Entitled “Strict Scrutiny”, The Morning Show Season 3 Ep 7 reveals a harsh reality which collides with an opulent night.

Good
Now, what this third season has been doing well is to put the characters in compromising positions that test their ethical mettle. How they respond will help the audience to understand them better and maybe even begin to empathise with their plights (especially, the ones who are a bit less likeable than some of the rest). Cory definitely falls into that category, visiting his mother for an ulterior motive and dragging Bradley along as part of his manipulative plan. Cory is the typical white make bad guy we get in modern TV. Or was he the victim? Paul Marks also falls into that category. His continuing tryst with Alex seems like an unbelievably bad idea (for both parties) as is his offer to Stella to replace Cory as CEO post-acquisition. Is it all just manipulation? And why does Stella spill the beans to Cory??? What are we missing???

Bad
Ironically, it is the characterisations of the two leads viz. Alex and Bradley, which seem to be the least engaging. Their sense of entitlement as women (and feminists) get inflated especially in the wake of the leak of the Roe v Wade over-ruling. Both women’s quest for truth as journalists easily fall away when its personal stakes involved. And that is hypocrisy. Deliberate writing choices perhaps?

Conclusion
The Morning Show Season 3 Ep 7 keeps the tension and uncertainty up in the stratosphere and makes the series one of the best currently in play.
