Premise
Entitled “The Green Light”, The Morning Show Season 3 Ep 4 has the UBA Upfront bringing everyone together for a party at the Hamptons, with nothing less than the survival of the network at stake. Bradley and Alex each revisit a problematic relationship.
Good
Thankfully, there’s a lot to recommend this entry with. The spirit of compromise hangs in the air as various UBA staffers scramble to raise advertising commitments after the breakdown of acquisition negotiations with Paul Marks in the previous episode. But probably Stella Bak bears the brunt of stinging humiliation as she faces down misogynist and racist behaviour from ad agency reps. Meanwhile, Alex attempts to build bridges with Marks after abandoning the rocket launch in the early chapters. Tense scenarios and relatable conflicts that reveal characters very well. Kudos.
Bad
Unfortunately, things did not fare so well with the Bradley-Laura reunion. Who really cares, you know? The engagement on that aspect was truly lost on us. Perhaps behind the scenes, the producers felt that there was still mileage in the lesbian angle between the pair. Nope! The other less successful plot thread involved Chris Hunter threatening the new chairman of the board, which was not a great look, either. There goes her likability score out the window!
Conclusion
The Morning Show Season 3 Ep 4 was yet another engrossing chapter by and large. Recommended!
