Entitled “Tipping Point”, The Bad Batch Season 2 Ep 14 provides faithful viewers with yet another strong chapter that answers the crucial Star Wars question – whatever happened to the clones? Well, now we know, they were phased out of the Imperial Army and worse, were experimented on diabolical imperial scientists, like the aptly named Dr. Hemlock.
This latest episode finally intersects the fate of Crosshair with our protagonists as the former is coerced to assist Dr. Hemlock in acquiring Omega, to be used as a leverage against Nala Se, in his quest to obtain Kaminoean cloning technology. This has been a long gestating plot thread and certainly, will be pulled on in the final two episodes of this season.
There is also a reunion with Echo, as the clone seeks the assistance of his former team-mates to discover the whereabouts of Hemlock’s research facility – so yes, the different plot threads are all coming together and lead to a showdown with Hemlock in the season finale.
In the final analysis, while The Bad Batch Season 2 Ep 14 is intriguing for diehard fans, the inconsistency in developing the overall storyline has been frustrating.
