Invasion Season 2

Invasion Season 2 has finally graced our screens, and the verdict is in – it’s a disappointing continuation of a series that had so much untapped potential. As we previously discussed in our analysis of Season 1, the show offered an intriguing premise of an alien invasion viewed from various perspectives across the globe but fell short in terms of execution. Sadly, Season 2 never manages to redeem the series, and the ten episodes continue to underwhelm.

Past Lives

Past Lives is a 2023 American romantic drama film written and directed by Celine Song in her feature directorial debut. Starring Greta Lee, Teo Yoo, and John Magaro, the film follows the relationship between two childhood friends over the course of 24 years, as they contemplate their relationship when they grow apart to have different lives. The plot is semi-autobiographical inspired by real events from Song’s life.

Foundation Season 2

Foundation Season 2 is the second season of an American science fiction epic streaming drama based on the classic novel series written by Isaac Asimov. Asimov developed high concepts regarding the decline and fall of empires and civilisations in his Foundation series of novels (number seven in total). The first season was a narrative mess and there were problems with the pacing, the casting and the overwhelming reach of the concept. Thus, it was surprising when AppleTV+ announced that the series had been renewed.

Emancipation is a 2022 American historical action film directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Will Smith as an enslaved man in Louisiana in the 1860s who escapes his plantation. The film, written by William N. Collage, is loosely based on the real-life story of Gordon (named “Peter” in the film), a former slave, and the photographs of his bare back, heavily scourged from an overseer’s whippings, that were published worldwide in 1863, giving the abolitionist movement proof of the cruelty of slavery.
