Star Trek: picard Season 3 Ep 9

Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Ep 9 is the ninth chapter of the 3rd season of an American scifi space opera television series created by Akiva Goldsman, Michael Chabon, Kirsten Beyer, and Alex Kurtzman for the streaming service Paramount+. The series is a spin-off of Star Trek: The Next Generation (STTNG) with the titular character Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) as its central focal point.

Entitled “Vox”, Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Ep 9 finally reveals to us who (or what) lies behind the red door in Jack Crusher’s nightmares. Much online speculation has theorised that the true villains of this season were the Pah-Wraiths – last seen in Deep Space Nine – while others opined that it had to be the Borg. Although, at the end of Season 2, the Borg seemed to have been removed from the board as an existential threat due to the Juratti-Borg Queen.

Thus, the decision in Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Ep 9 to make the Borg responsible for Jack’s special abilities is disappointing especially when it conflicts with that Season 2 ending. While the manner in which the Borg assimilate Starfleet members is clever – but only those under 25, leaving the seniors in the STTNG crew untouched – it is unclear and thus confusing as to whether the Borg Queen depicted is Juratti as the voice sounds different! Frustrating!

But of course, all qualms are set aside once we get the STTNG crew back on the Enterprise-D, as it has been restored by La Forge at the Starfleet Museum. Major feels is the result as the STTNG crew head into battle against the Borg again, perhaps for the very last time.
