Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Ep 10

Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Ep 10 is the tenth chapter of the 3rd season of an American scifi space opera television series created by Akiva Goldsman, Michael Chabon, Kirsten Beyer, and Alex Kurtzman for the streaming service Paramount+. The series is a spin-off of Star Trek: The Next Generation (STTNG) with the titular character Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) as its central focal point.

Entitled “The Last Generation”, Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Ep 10 gives Trekkers a grand send-off for the STTNG crew while also teasing the future of this timeline of Star Trek. Though, we had issues with the villain of the piece – the unconvincing return of the Borg Queen (sans Juratti?) – there was to be no quibbling with how everything was wrapped up nicely at the end. Hopefully this is the last stand of the Borg, as suggested in the climax. Good riddance!

As a series finale, Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Ep 10 provided a satisfying conclusion for the STTNG milieu, while also adding on familiar faces from Voyager. The challenge of the Borg Queen was not as great as assumed and every significant character survival the ordeal, apart from Captain Shaw, that is. After the divisive reactions to seasons 1 & 2, it is good to see Star Trek back on track with this final Picard episode.

The “one year later” resolution of the series has Seven of Nine and Raffi, captain and first officer respectively of the Enterprise-D with Ensign Jack Crusher as special counsellor, and it’s difficult not to begin to look forward to a spin-off Star Trek series. Which is cemented in the post-credit scene (Hail Marvel!) with a surprise re-appearance! Go watch it yourself!

It’s fair to say that as of now, Star Trek is kicking Star Wars firmly in the gonads – the former is now the king of scifi TV space opera once more!!
