Rick and Morty Season 6 Ep 9 is the ninth episode of season 6 in this scifi fantasy action-adventure animated sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. The series follows the misadventures of cynical mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his good-hearted but fretful grandson Morty Smith, who split their time between domestic life and inter-dimensional adventures.

Entitled “A Rick in King Mortur’s Mort”, Rick and Morty Season 6 Ep 9 takes aim at the fantasy genre crossed with space opera in a typical Rick and Morty story where one bad decision escalates into solar system ending threat! Ironically, much of what Morty gets up to here actually happens because Rick is trying to be a better person!
Rick and Morty Season 6 Ep 9 begins, as usual, innocuously enough with Rick and Morty patronising an off-world food pop-up. Then Morty meets a couple of the Knights of the Sun and inadvertently becomes a Knight himself! However, Morty’s main movitation in doing so is to rebel against Rick and piss him off. Then, as mentioned, things escalate as Morty tries to change his mind – due to the requirement that Knights of the Sun have to cut off their penises (!) – and that sets off a chain of events that ultimately lead to a war amongst all the planets in our solar system! Huh?
You see, the Knights of the Sun keep the peace in our solar system but once they have abandoned their purpose – thanks to Morty’s misadventures – the planets decide to go to war for supremacy! A bit ridiculous even for Rick and Morty but as always, really good for laughs. With the season finale coming up, one might wonder what happened to that other Rick we saw in the first episode? No follow-up? Hmm.
