Rick and Morty Season 6 Ep 8 is the eighth episode of season 6 in this scifi fantasy action-adventure animated sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. The series follows the misadventures of cynical mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his good-hearted but fretful grandson Morty Smith, who split their time between domestic life and inter-dimensional adventures.

Entitled “Analyse Piss”, Rick and Morty Season 6 Ep 8 is yet another deep dive into superhero tropes, a regular thematic focus in this series. After another encounter with the villainous Namor analogue Mr. Nimbus, amongst other antagonists, Rick has to figure why he has suddenly become a target for supervillains.
A visit for therapy with Dr. Wong reveals to Rick that his extreme responses are what attract supervillains to seek him out and thus he has to simply ignore them. Rick decides to take up Dr. Wong’s one week-challenge. The result is another supervillain attack – this time from Pissmaster – but with Rick ignoring him, Jerry decides to confront Pissmaster, especially when he sexually harasses Summer.

When Jerry goes viral after defeating and humiliating Pissmaster, he is offered a silver orb by an intergalactic council which echoes DC’s Green Lanterns and the Guardians of the Universe! With that – and assistance from Rick, of course – Jerry becomes a superhero viz. Flamingo Dad.
The popularity of Flamingo Dad and Pissmaster’s ridicule bothers Rick so much that he seeks Pissmaster out. Unfortunately, Pissmaster kills himself and when his daughter tries to visit him, Rick resolves to repair Pissmaster’s reputation by disguising himself as the supervillain and performing good deeds himself.
Nothing goes as planned of course but by the end of Rick and Morty Season 6 Ep 8, all returns to normal. Jerry is no longer a superhero and Rick has at least resolved his issue with the supervillain attacks. Good fun as usual, with the usual pathos to keep things grounded. Basically a typical superior Rick and Morty episode! Highly recommended.
