Raised by Wolves Season 2 Episode 6 is the sixth instalment of the second season of an American science fiction drama television series created by Aaron Guzikowski. Famed director Ridley Scott is an executive producer on the series and directed the first two episodes of season 1. Thus, the series carries many of the genre hallmarks associated with Scott’s science fiction films especially, the Alien franchise, which we will discuss further below.
S P O I L E R S
Entitled “The Tree”, Raised by Wolves Season 2 Episode 6 features several key events that change the status quo of the series. As mentioned in previous posts, this 4th season has not shied away from keeping the plot moving briskly, with characterisations aligning itself closely to the narrative and providing it with the push and pull necessary to keep the series very engaging. Granted, expositions and explanations are at a premium but this approach does keep things interesting.
The capture of Marcus by all accounts appears to be a blessing in disguise for Marcus himself as it reunited him with Sue and Paul. Sue herself has been brought into the worship of Sol – a decision that she might ultimately regret as the ending of the episode might seem to indicate. Elsewhere, Tempest’s pregnancy comes to term and once more the outcome was not to her liking as well. Both resolutions (for now) are key as changing the dynamics around although viewers might scratch their heads and wonder what the heck is going on?
That lack of clarity may ultimately come back to haunt this 2nd season if explanations are not forthcoming in the next couple of episodes. It is about time that the series explains if Sol indeed is simply just another A.I. and not a literal deity. The next episodes will be crucial. Highly recommended.
