Entitled “Gilgamesh”, Rabbit Hole Ep 7 continues to pull the rug from underneath the audience with more revelations. Clearly though, this series has been mis-titled. It should be called “Wild Goose Chase” or “Snakes and Ladders” as the writers lead us down several plot lines only for us to discover that those paths were false or misleading. Which is fine but again when a plot device is overused, it can get rather annoying for the patient viewer.
In Rabbit Hole Ep 7, we explore the impossibility that Valence might be still alive. But that’s cannot be the case, unless his entire suicide jump was all in Weir’s mind only. After all, we discover throughout this chapter that in highly stressful situations, Weir would run through different scenarios in his mind and these are presented to the audience to confuse us. A continuing mind fuck, and not in a good way.
Perhaps, this switch and bait tactic backfires as it gets rather tiresome after constant repetition. Valence is actually dead and it is Crowley that is communicating with Weir, the Peter Weller-Crowley is actually a decoy, Madi despite all appearances is a corrupt FBI agent and Weir’s father Ben is all that he claimed to be! Well then, with all the mind fuckery out of the way, hopefully, the series finale will give us all something satisfying! Fingers crossed!!
