Entitled “The Playbook”, Rabbit Hole Ep 6 finds Weir and gang executing a plan of action to get to Senator Evers, whom Crowley (played by Peter Weller!) is manipulating to control all personal data and thus the world. Bit far-fetched villainous plot but tolerable. And yes, it’s one of them heist operations which Rick & Morty lampooned so effectively years back. Thus, this chapter already falls flat simply by spy trope.
But it gets worse, Rabbit Hole Ep 6 depicts how seemingly futile Weir’s action against Crowley is. Even when he and his partners are successful in securing an item that would encourage Evers to spill on Crowley, when ultimately that silly intern-assassin (remember him?) executes Evers to gain sympathy for the Data Act that she is championing. Pointless exercise. Ho hum.
However, the sting is in the tail, when Valence is revealed to have somehow survived his plunge off a tall building (?) when – get this – Valence seems to answer communications that Weir has maintained despite watching him commit suicide (!) We give up trying to make sense of this!!
