Here’s a psych-rock outfit you might want to keep a close watch on – The Ego Ritual!
I was lucky enough to preview “Chakra Maraca”, a track that makes all the right noises if you, like me, enjoy references to The Pretty Things, Sgt Pepper, The Paisley Underground, Kula Shaker and the contemporary psych-rock revival.
Key distinction here is that The Ego Ritual seem to possess a crucial power pop crunch and drive, relatively speaking. Which really makes their new release something to look forward to.
