Entitled “No Normal”, Ms. Marvel Episode 6 is the conclusion of this introduction of Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan to the MCU. As far as Disney+ Marvel Studios streaming TV series go, Ms. Marvel was no Moon Knight, and probably was the joint worst one yet – a dead heat with the pointless Hawkeye series. But at least, in the case of the latter, fans were re-introduced to that beloved villain, the Kingpin.

Plot-wise, Ms. Marvel Episode 6 achieves a couple of things. One, it allows Kamala (with Kamran, also superpowered now) to have a good dust up with Damage Control, smack in public view, in the middle of Jersey City, so to speak. Second, powers-wise, at least the visuals were faithful to the comic book, even if the powers strictly were not. It’s all fairly low stakes and means for the locals to recognise Ms. Marvel as one of their own.
As an introduction of a solo superhero, this TV series was no worse than Captain Marvel or Black Panther, though Ms. Marvel lacked a serious antagonist. Ultimately, the TV series merely served as a means to set up Kamala’s appearance in The Marvels. This is cemented in the mid-credit scene when Kamala disappears and somehow Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel appears in her place? That’s some setup.

In addition, there is an important Easter Egg at the end, when Bruno hints to Kamala that her genes are mutated – is Ms. Marvel, a mutant rather than an Inhuman in the MCU? Cue the hundreds of Youtubers coming up with their own fan theories. Who knows, at this point?
