Lower Decks Season 4 Ep 6 is the sixth chapter of the fourth season of an American adult animated science fiction television series created by Mike McMahan for the streaming service CBS All Access (later rebranded as Paramount+). It is the ninth Star Trek series and debuted in 2020 as part of executive producer Alex Kurtzman’s expanded Star Trek Universe. The franchise’s first animated series since Star Trek: The Animated Series concluded in 1974 and also its first comedy, Lower Decks follows the low-ranking support crew of the starship Cerritos in the 24th century.

Premise
Entitled “Parth Ferengi’s Heart Place”, Lower Decks Season 4 Ep 6 has the Cerritos visiting the Ferengi home world. While a Starfleet admiral (with Captain Freeman) negotiates with Ferengi leader Rom (from Deep Space Nine), the Lower Decks protagonists are tasked to study Ferengi culture with hilarious results.
Good
Well, the premise above is already guaranteed to generated hi-jinks and hilarity, especially for the scenario where Tendi and Rutherford pretend to be a married couple, which amps up their obvious sexual tension to the max! It made sense for the series to finally explore this relationship as they have been teasing this outcome since the first season. Hopefully, the teasing stops soon and the couple “make it so”.
Bad
As for the rest? Mariner catches up with an old Ferengi friend and continues to resist the rehabilitation of her toxic personality. As for Boimler, he’s stuck in his hotel room addicted to Ferengi TV dramas (?) Nothing much to enjoy here sadly. Both subplots were boring and predictable and unfunny. Hmmm.
Conclusion
Lower Decks Season 4 Ep 6 would enthuse most diehard Trekkers for its Easter eggs mainly – the Ferengis are always popular but beyond that, no much joy.
