Krapopolis Season 1 Ep 3 is the third entry of the first season of an American animated sitcom created by Dan (Rick and Morty) Harmon for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The show is set in mythical ancient Greece and centers on a flawed family of humans, gods, and monsters trying to run one of the world’s first cities (the titular city) without killing each other. Premise
Entitled “Wife Swamp”, Krapopolis Season 1 Ep 3 opens with Tyrannis returning home from a quest with his girlfriend only to learn that Deliria set him up to look like a hero. Meanwhile, Hippocampus, Stupendous and Shlub fight – then befriend – the species of wolves.
Good
The episode exploits well the fact that it is a historical farce of sorts with two plot lines that dwell on myth and history equally. Tyrannis and his girlfriend is based, of course, on the myth of Perseus fighting the Kraken. Add to this mix, Poseidon’s involvement and a hilarious centaur and the laughs are guaranteed. Deliria is probably the funniest character in the series, she is an absolute hoot!
Bad
The plot line about the wolves has its moments – mainly at the end where it is revealed that this incident birthed the relationship between mankind and dogs. Other than that, it was average though the dramatic contrast between what Studendous was saying and what the wolf was thinking was probably worth the price of admission!
Conclusion
In the final analysis, Krapopolis Season 1 Ep 3 demonstrates the tremendous potential this series obviously possesses. Highly recommended!
