Halo Season 1 Episode 6 is the sixth episode of an American military science fiction television series developed by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane for the streaming service Paramount+, based on the video game franchise of the same name. The series had been languishing in development hell since 2013 before becoming a streaming TV series, after failing to appear as a movie or traditional TV series. The first season will feature nine episodes, with a 2nd season already greenlit.

Entitled “Solace”, Halo Season 1 Episode 6 takes a bit of a pause in the proceedings after the events at the end of the previous episode. After a pitched battle with Covenant forces, the newly discovered Keystone was lost and Makee was once more embedded in the UNSC as a form of refugee. This appropriate pause allows the tensions and conflicts amongst the various characters to fester even further. Master Chief John-117 almost killed Halsey in the previous episode and it is clear that he does not trust her at all. Halsey is an intriguing character – utterly amoral – and a catalyst for many of the narrative points in the series.
However, Halo Season 1 Episode 6 also reveals that there is an unexpected connection between John-117 and Makee, which makes the latter’s motivation less clear than first thought. Is she merely a Covenant spy or does she genuinely have her own agenda regarding John-117 and the Keystone? That scene where John-117 and Makee are caught in a similar seizure when John-117 touches the Keystone again and the pair share a vision of the titular Halo, in a location that can only be described as a paradise.
With Halo Season 1 Episode 6, there’s no doubt that the series continues to improve. Hope it keeps it all up! Recommended.
