Premise
Entitled “Sick”, Gen V Ep 7 finally reveals to all and sundry Dr. Shetty’s diabolical plan! But is the solution going to make the situation worse?!

Good
What is really effective here is that this spin-off series keeps a tight connection to The Boys. Thus, Shetty’s seemingly illogical plan to devise a virus that will kill all supes makes sense when you realise that she is on a mission of vengeance. Remember when Homelander (and Maeve, to a lesser extent) caused that airplane to crash? Well, Shetty’s husband and daughter were killed on that flight! Brilliant! Now, Marie seeks help from Victoria Neuman and not only does she discover that Neuman is also a supe but they actually share the same power! Which means Marie can make heads explode too! Fantastic! By the end of this episode, Shetty is dead – pushed by Cate – and Neuman has the virus. Odds for a happy season finale are slim, to say the least! The plot lines are so engaging especially if you have followed The Boys closely – why else would you watch Gen V?

Bad
The only slight confusion related to Cate and whether she was still being manipulated by Shetty. So when she kills Shetty it does not seem to track but to be fair and not necessarily a bad thing, this might simply be pointing to the development that Cate is really the big bad, and becomes a psycho-killer!

Conclusion
Gen V Ep 7 has so much going on and yet was still able to set an exciting season finale. Highly recommended!
