Got to hand it to everyone involved with Timeless, the show is slowly but surely finding its rhythm. More depth has been revealed in the main characters and the actions they take are consistent with people unfortunate enough to be in this complicated situation.
And there’s the question of Rittenhouse. Why is Flynn trying to wipe out Rittenhouse (is it a person? a company? what?) from the timeline. Whatever it is, it must be important enough for Anthony Bruhl to conspire with Flynn to steal the Mothership. Remember that Rufus Carlin and Connor Martin are in on the cover-up as well regarding Rittenhouse.
But before all that, our intrepid time travellers have personal issues to sort out and these problems provide a crucial dimensions in making Preston, Logan and Carlin that much more intriguing characters.
Good writing shines through especially in the final sequence where Flynn is shown to be a rather intelligent adversary. Which augurs well for the rest of this interesting first season.
