Based on the 2000 scifi movie of the same name (shades of Westworld, eh?), this TV series adaptation updates the original premise for 2016 viz. father and son communicate across time via a ham radio.

Detective Raimy Sullivan (Peyton List) has carried around pain and resentment over her father’s death for 20 years, believing NYPD Officer Frank Sullivan (Riley Smith) was corrupted during an undercover sting and got himself killed. Everything changes when she hears his voice coming from his old ham radio, somehow transmitting from 1996.

Inevitably, Sullivan warns her father about his murder and he manages to avert his death BUT this causes a new timeline to come into effect (shades of The Flash and Timeless!) which turns Reimy’s world upside down.

A brilliant set-up for the episodes to come. We don’t know why there are so many time travel TV shows now (another one coming up is Time After Time!) but if they are as solid as Frequency then, we are not complaining!
