For All Mankind Season 3 Ep9 is the ninth instalment of the third season of a historical fantasy TV drama series streaming on Apple TV+. Created by Ronald D. Moore (Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Outlander), For All Mankind reimagines the space race of the 60s/70s as an alternate reality where the Soviet Union put a man on the moon before the USA. Season 3 picks up a decade after the events of season 2, meaning the setting is now the 1990s.

Entitled “Coming Home”, For All Mankind Season 3 Ep9 ramps up the resolutions of certain plot threads as well as bringing others closer to a head in this penultimate season 3 episode. 5 months have elapsed since the previous episode and on Mars, the focus is on Kelly’s pregnancy and figuring out how the survivors will be able to return to The Phoenix. Somehow, Danny Stevens continues to remain guiltless from the landslide – he was solely responsible – but nobody seems to call him out on this. Stevens will continue to be a ticking time bomb though.

On Earth, For All Mankind Season 3 Ep9 brings a threefold dilemma. One, how does President Ellen Wilson solve the issue of her husband’s perjury? Two, how does Aleida deal with her discovery that her mentor Margo Madison is a Soviet spy? Finally, how does Helios salvage itself from financial ruin? Well, the answers are provided by the end of the episode but the implications will continue to resonate maybe into the next season?
This is the logical conclusion as it seems impossible to deal with all the ramifications of what has been raised in Season 3 in the season finale alone. Presumably, the finale will focus on whether the Mars survivors will be able to return to The Pheonix and ultimately make it back to Earth intact. We shall see…
