Fleabag Season 2 is the second season of a British tragicomedy television series created and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Waller-Bridge stars as the title character, a free-spirited and sexually active but angry and confused young woman in London. The protagonist frequently breaks the fourth wall to provide exposition, internal monologues, and a running commentary to the audience.
Considering how good season 1 was, it is pretty amazing that Fleabag Season 2 was even better! Just when you thought that our beloved Fleabag could not get into worse trouble, she lies about having a miscarriage to her family (to cover for her sister, Clare) and falls for a Catholic priest!
As usual, even though Fleabag Season 2 is just as decadent and funny, it also ups the ante on the pathos and by the end, Fleabag has once more run the gamut of emotions (and crazy situations) and basically ends up in a worse place than at the end of season 1. Again, exactly how that is possible is the best part of this brilliantly crafted series.
