FLEABAG SEASON 1 (REVIEW)

Fleabag Season 1 Review

Fleabag Season 1 is the first season of a British tragicomedy television series created and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Fleabag Season 1 Review

The series is told from the perspective of a young woman trying to cope with life in London whilst coming to terms with a recent tragedy – her dire circumstances not helped by her dysfunctional relationships, whether with her family or various beaus. The series is funny, risqué, emotional and traumatic with Waller-Bridge’s titular main character – we never find out what her real name is – able to run the gamut from witty to pathetic, from charismatic to unlikable – keeping the audience fluid as to how they feel about the character.

Fleabag Season 1 Review

The main thread of the series revolves around Boo, Fleabag’s deceased BFF & business partner, who is the subject/object of her innate brokenness. The finale reveals her dark secret – a traumatising moment of weakness that she is unable to overcome.
