Entitled “The Cold Truth”, Bad Sisters Ep 8 brings us into the home stretch of this excellent series with two episodes remaining. The episode picks up after Becka’s grisly discovery of George’s body in the basement freezer. In a flashback, we see how John Paul – struggling with financial issues – exploited the accidental death of George – his father – to concoct a story that he had left his wife in order to continue to have access to his father’s bank accounts. Which, of course, simply increases our hatred of the despicable man!

In terms of the present narrative, Bad Sisters Ep 8, Thomas Claffin finally gets a post-mortem of John Paul’s corpse which reveals nothing significant at this point. Eva discovers that Becka has been sleeping with Matt Claffin, and that opens up old wounds between the two, leaving Eva in a state of despair. The fact of the matter is of course, that the present-day plot is not quite as interesting as the flashbacks.

Bad Sisters Ep 8

Bad Sisters Ep 8 certainly builds up the sheer amount of suspects who would want John Paul dead. From the sisters (of course) to Ursula’s lover (the pussy photograph) to Eva’s colleague Gabriel (homosexual taunts) to even John Paul’s neighbour (whom he had framed as a pedophlle). The episode does it in a very natural way, John Paul is such a manipulative bastard that rubs almost every single person he encounters in the worst way!

Finally, Becka executes her plan to lock John Paul in the basement freezer and freeze him to death. Unfortunately we think that it was not John Paul she killed but his mother, Mina… we shall see …
