S P O I L E R S

Entitled “The Axe Forgets”, Andor Season 1 Ep 5 is yet another forty minutes of boring set-up, where nothing happens. The episode is simply characters talking and talking. Whereas episodes 1 – 3 were setting up Andor going the rebellion, episodes 4 and 5 have been setting up the Imperial payroll heist. Why is everything in this series proceeding at snail’s pace? 5 episodes of nothing happening – we had low expectations going into this series and definitely it has fulfilled our worst fears.

Andor Season 1 Ep 5

Now, Andor Season 1 Ep 5 demonstrates once more the ‘driving’ theme of the series – showing everyday life in the Star Wars Universe during Imperial rule and they have achieved that. The mundanity on display is crushingly boring. I mean who cares about that ex-corporate security guy getting nagged by his mother? Who gives a fuck about the senator having problems with her daughter and her husband? Seriously WTF!

And what about the rebels themselves? Who really cares about them at all? Andor is a non-descript lacklustre character and he’s supposed to be the most interesting one? Well, that’s easily done if the rest of the rebels are characters that not at all memorable. Fuck the lot of them. One almost wishes the mission fails cuz who gives a damn?

Andor Season 1 Ep 5

Andor Season 1 Ep 5 is not Star Wars. It is a generic (boring) scifi TV show with the “Star Wars” brand tacked on it. Fuck you Disney for trolling us Star Wars fans with this piece of shit.

Now streaming on Disney+.
