Ahsoka Part Two is the second chapter of an American scifi space opera miniseries created and written by Dave Filoni for Disney+. It is part of the Star Wars franchise and a spin-off from the series The Mandalorian, taking place in the same timeframe as that series and its other interconnected spin-offs after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983), while also serving as a continuation to the animated series Star Wars Rebels. The series follows Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to the galaxy following the fall of the Empire. (Wikipedia)

Entitled “Toil and Trouble”, Ahsoka Part Two picks up where Part One left off. Sabine is recovering from her defeat and failure to protect the artefact, leaving a pissed-off Ahsoka to figure out – with Hera’s assistance – what Elsbeth’s scheme is. The segment of the plot brings Ahsoka and Hera in direct contact with the New Republic red tape, and the continuing theme – seen previously in the Mandalorian – that the New Republic turned into a bureaucratic nightmare after the highs of Return of the Jedi.
This chapter also brings Sabine on a redemption arc, where she realises that she needs to step up if she ever wants to be Ahsoka’s Jedi apprentice. Of course, Sabine does whatever is necessary (e.g. cut her hair and put on her Mandalorian armour) to achieve that goal. The Ahsoka-Hera plot line is all rather predictable as Elsbeth’s pro-Imperial forces easily steal a hyperdrive core, and Ahsoka encounters a former Sith Inquisitor, identify of whom is unknown.
At the very end, this chapter re-enacts the final scene of Rebels Season 4, as Ahsoka takes on Sabine as her apprentice, with the latter very much ready to take on such a task. With Elsbeth’s location confirmed by Chopper’s tracker, the true adventure of this miniseries can take place with the next chapter. Recommended!
