Ahsoka Part Eight is the eighth and final chapter of an American scifi space opera miniseries created and written by Dave Filoni for Disney+. It is part of the Star Wars franchise and a spin-off from the series The Mandalorian, taking place in the same timeframe as that series and its other interconnected spin-offs after the events of Return of the Jedi (1983), while also serving as a continuation to the animated series Star Wars Rebels. The series follows Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to the galaxy following the fall of the Empire. (Wikipedia)

Premise
Entitled “The Jedi, the Witch and the Warlord,” Ahsoka Part Eight has Ahsoka, Sabine and Ezra racing to prevent Grand Admiral Thrawn’s escape.
Good
Probably the only really commendable aspect of this series are the visuals. The characters look authentic and the special effects are excellent. The performances are generally strong as well from the actors and mostly carry the series along with conviction.
Bad
The problem is with everything else. The plot is laughable. Nothing really happened in these eight chapters. It was boring. The characters were a pale imitation of what was seen in the Star Wars: Rebels. Thrawn in particular was a disappointment, and presented as a weak leader who keeps changing his mind! Sabine’s character is totally unlikeable now and she suffers zero consequence for her bad decision. Thus there is minimal growth for her. Add to that the listless dialogue and the inexplicable escape of Ezra from Thrawn’s battleship and what you have is a shit show!
Conclusion
In the final analysis, Ahsoka Part Eight was a waste of time and proof that even Dave Filoni has completely lost the plot. We cannot imagine Disney investing millions into a Filoni-helmed Star Wars movie after this debacle! Watch for the visuals only. Hmmmm.
