Episode 6: TS-19

It’s been more than a week since the finale of the Walking Dead aired but I am still pissed off with the really weak ending to what has been a very strong series. What was the point of the survivors going into the CDC building, enjoying certain home comforts and then fighting tooth and claw to get back into the world of “walkers” again?

With so many loose plot lines to tie up (Remember Merle?), why the writers chose to set up this whole CDC sequence (which is not in the comic book at all) is totally mystifying!?! Okay, so we learned that Shane is slowly losing his head over the return of Rick (nothing new there), scientific theory relating to the creation of Zombies (boring) and that Dale cares for Andrea (big whoop) – but what did Dr Jenner whisper in Rick’s ears at the very end?

That’s about the only token mystery to carry fan interest into the second season. Well, I am willing to forget the travesty of this finale on the expectation that the second season will be more in the vein of the first five episodes. If not, that second season is going to be the Walking Dead’s last.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
