Never mind the sumptuous 72-page zine, there is enough oomph in the eleven remastered track CD to keep Beach Boys fans interested. Never mind that the track-listing itself is fairly predictable.

That said, it is a little weird to find “Be True To Your School” on this CD! But definitely, this is a great headphones album, the wide range of Beach Boys vocal and instrumentation arrangements come across pristine and crystal clear and that’s good enough for me.
However, for the connoisseur, there is always the 50 Big Ones Greatest Hits version, which gives you more bang for your buck with new remastering as well – to be released in October. Not to be missed.
