According to Brian and Michael D’Addario, this Brothers of Destruction EP consists of songs left over from the Do Hollywood sessions.
The brothers emphasised that they considered the EP “the last chapter of the Do Hollywood era of our group. So enjoy!”
Well, if these wonderfully fecund compositions are ‘leftovers’, then we certainly cannot wait for the sophomore effort, a concept album which they plan to entitle Go to School.
Stylistically, this EP covers the pop-rock gamut as expected and demonstrates how well equipped the brothers are – even at this very young age – of fulfilling their immense promise.
Sure, there is the obligatory ear candy like “Why Didn’t You Say That?” and “Beautiful” but also prominent are the offbeat thrills of “Intro” and “So Fine”.
With “Night Song” and “Light and Love” closing, The Lemon Twigs leave no doubt of their intentions – artistic pop-rock of the highest order – where creativity trumps commercial concerns every single time!
We are blessed to have The Lemon Twigs!
… still there’s more …
