It’s the sixth installment of Pecha Kucha Night* on 17th Jan at Home Club.
This event aims to grow the local community through sharing inspirational talks with new ideas, and personal stories from different backgrounds. Unlike other speaker events already seen in the city, the organizers have a clear vision to get local talents inspired and connected in this Pecha Kucha Night platform.
All speeches are presented under a 20×20 format, where each speaker gets only 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide – a total of six minutes and 40 seconds – to present. It perfectly conveys only the essence of the ideas, which gives powerful insights to listeners.
The organizers invite 10 to 12 speakers for each event, including thought leaders from diverse backgrounds such as creatives, local business owners, entrepreneurs, book authors, innovative thinkers, motivational speakers, comedians, musicians, and scientists.

Another important aspect of this event is to encourage young talent to “try” going up on stage to share their ideas at Pecha Kucha events. In this respect, We understand that Cherie Ko (Obedient Wives Club, Pastelpower) will be one of the speakers this time around which should be interesting.
*Pecha Kucha Night began in Tokyo in 2003, devised by architects, Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham (Klein Dytham architecture), and is now held in over 600 cities worldwide. Pecha Kucha Night Singapore team obtained the license from Pecha Kucha Organization to hold events in Singapore.
