I first met up with S-ROCKers King Kong Jane five years ago before its first appearance at the Baybeats Festival and I found the boys (at the time still NTU undergrads) affable and genuine, excited about the prospects of exposure on a bigger stage. I interviewed them last year prior to the release of its debut album – Waiting for Friday – older but with passion undiminished. You can read the interview here.

In the Singaporean context, it’s always tough for bands to ‘stay in the game’ so to speak with all the pressures of modern life pushing and pulling but thankfully, King Kong Jane is still hanging in there. Two new songs debuted at the band’s recent return appearance at the Baybeats Festival is testimony to that. The band has kindly shared videos of these two tracks viz “Snowflakes” and “How Could You?”  - check ‘em out below.
